OBJECTIVE
The “Repair the Gamelan Instruments for the Joged Pingitan" focuses on the restoration and maintenance of the gamelan instruments used in the traditional dance of Jogéd Pingitan. The primary goal is to ensure the instruments are properly working, preserving their cultural significance and enabling their use in performances and cultural events. The ensemble of the Gamelan Joged Pingitan generally consists of instruments with slats made of bamboo tuned to the pelog scale (five notes). To play these instruments, the musicians usetwo mallets with the kakilitan or kotekan (fast interlocking parts) technique.
