OBJECTIVE
The forthcoming book, "Harmonizing Energy: The Central Role of Usana Bali in Cultivating a Prosperous Life," breathes new life into a long-lost manuscript and unpublished literary work by Katharane Mershon and Ida Pedanda Madé Sidemen from the 1930s. This crucial work was discovered, compiled, and further analyzed by the esteemed scholar and master dancer, I Madé Bandem. The unveiling and publication of this treasure trove coincides with the commemoration of 40 years since the passing of the highly venerated and multitalented high priest, Ida Pedanda Made Sidemen, in 2024. The book promises a profound exploration of the concept of bayu, or energy, as a cornerstone of artistic, aesthetic, and spiritual endeavors. Specifically, it delves into the intriguing correlations between frequency, vibration, and energy in the microcosmos and macrocosmos.
This monumental publication represents an essential contribution to our understanding of Balinese culture and philosophy, bridging the gap between past wisdom and present curiosity.
